  • Use taxis, ride-hailing apps or accredited tours and guides according to the route you need.
  • At night, prefer door-to-door transport, especially outside busy axes such as Barra and Rio Vermelho.
  • In the Historic Center, guided visits give context and make the heritage core easier to use.
  • Walking works well within neighbourhoods; between them, distances are longer than they look.
