Salvador faces west across the bay, which makes sunset a daily social event. Here is where to be for it.

  • Farol da Barra: the classic, busiest and easiest.
  • Porto da Barra: same light, feet in the water.

  • Prainha do MAM: quieter, with the bay right there.
  • Ponta do Humaitá: the most photogenic — read our safety note first.
